DIY Christmas Decor – Trio of Boxwood Wreaths

Today is the day I officially started decorating for Christmas. Why so soon? Because my home is scheduled to be on a couple online Christmas tours this year starting the first week in December! So I’m not waiting until after Thanksgiving to deck the halls. I’ve gotta start doing it now or I won’t be ready! It was such a gloomy day here today, I’m surprised my photos turned out as bright as they did.

Want to see my first DIY Christmas decor project? I created a simple door hanging with a trio of boxwood wreaths.

They’re not fragrant, but I love the soft, shiny leaves.

Supplies for boxwood wreath hanging To create this simple DIY Christmas decor door hanging, I gathered 3 small boxwood wreaths and some ribbon.

If I remember correctly, I purchased the trio of Christmas boxwood wreaths from Decor Steals.

Add a few inches for looping the ribbon around each wreath.

I found 2 spools of this ribbon at the local November flea market.

Make sure you wrap it so the ribbon runs behind the wreaths.

Use another piece of ribbon to tie a bow, allowing the ends to trail down a bit.

Speaking of Christmas, I’m teaming up with several bloggers to give away a $500 Visa gift card and an iPad Mini! The giveaway starts Monday, November 18th. Be sure to stop back and register to win an iPad Mini and/or $500 Visa gift card!!

  1. What is so beautiful is its simplicity. The leaves that are part of nature. And yes, the shiny leaves. To me this is the best kind of decor, not the elaborate stuff that seems overdone. I love your first Christmas project!
