Farmhouse Christmas Dining

A little green and white pair together this year to set the scene for a farmhouse holiday dinner. Mismatched white dinnerware is flanked by vintage silver plate. Why Can’t My House Look Like This?

Lately I keep looking at decor photos in order to keep myself focused on the look I really want in my home. When I was first married, I loved the Asian look. Dining Room Updates

One of my 2012 goals is to finish making over the dining room. It's a small cozy room whose walls used to be sage, which I loved, but after ogling over many a Swedish dining room, I decided to lighten it up with a coat of Steamed White from Lowe's. The Windsor chairs were re-painted in Graphite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. The side chairs now wear Duck Egg Blue from Annie Sloan.You can read about my chair painting project here. Divine Dining

My 140-year-old dining room is screaming for a re-do. Well, maybe not screaming ... but it could use a little help. I'm happy with the colors; Martha Stewart's Quaking Aspen green walls paired with white trim, but the table and chairs could use some freshening up. The windows could use some dressing, too.
