Modern Farmhouse Bathroom Design Inspires Serenity and Style

It’s been awhile since I’ve featured a bathroom on the blog. I guess they just don’t excite me as much as other rooms in the house, unless it’s a special modern farmhouse bathroom like this one by Jkath Design-Build+Reinvent. What I love about this space is that it feels spa-like while retaining a certain level of cozy comfort. (This post contains affiliate links – see my privacy policy.)

Neutral tones help to create a serene feeling in this stylish bathroom. Painted vertical-paneled walls add texture, along with the rustic tiled flooring. A little cafe curtain on the window above the free standing tub adds an element of sweetness while the geometric light fixture lends a hint of glam. A small black stool provides a make-shift shelf for a washcloth or toiletries.

I love how the tub in today’s modern farmhouse bathroom is tucked into its own corner. It creates a bit of a cocoon vibe while bathing. A loofah brush hanging from a golden hook becomes a bit of art even though it’s utilitarian.

At the other end of the tub is a small shelf for artwork, plants, and a candle.

Gold fixtures throughout the modern farmhouse bathroom sprinkle a bit more glam throughout the space. From this angle, you can see that the bathroom is fairly spacious.

A pair of black-rimmed mirrors adorn the wall above the custom double vanity. The large black vase is from the Joshua Handcrafted Ceramics line at Pottery Barn (I have the same vase in my kitchen). Skylights above keep the bathroom light and airy looking.

A built-in cubby features short shelves that can be used to display vases, small bottles of bath oils, or other useful yet pretty items.

For soft fragrance, the homeowner tucked a few stems of lavender into a small vase that sits on the shelves. Eucalyptus or mint would make great choices in the bathroom, too.

The counter top of the vanity enjoys a beautifully marbled finish. It’s always the details that turn a room into something special and unique.

Directly across from the tub in the modern farmhouse bathroom is a spacious walk-in shower. Note the use of two types of tile. They’re in the same color palette but the flooring is different from the tile on the walls. Gold fixtures and a rain head shower complete the look.

For convenience, built-in cubbies were added for keeping shampoo, soap, and scrub brushes nearby. If there was one thing I’d add to a bathroom in my house, it would be a shower like this one.

I love this modern farmhouse bathroom by Jkath Design-Build+Reinvent with so many great details and a beautiful aesthetic. If this were in my house, I think I’d have to claim it as my own and no one else would be able to use it!
