Pink House Collection: A Fun Way to Celebrate the New Year

Pink is such a fun, cheery color. Some people love it, some people – not so much. One thing I have to say, anytime I see a pink house while driving around, I always smile. When I was in college, there was an Indiana farm where all the outbuildings were painted pink. Not a red barn to be seen. We’d make a special trip to visit that colorful farm when we needed a break from studies. And today, I’m sharing a pink house collection to say goodbye to 2022 and usher in 2023!

Big or small, a pink house packs a punch on any street. This charmer enjoys purple shutters and even the bicycle on the porch is purple.

This large and stunning home is located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Old Saybrook is the oldest town in the state so you’ll find amazing architecture, like these two guest houses that stand next to each other.

On the other side of the pond is a stately pink beauty located in Cornwall, England. The waterfront location just makes it that more special.

Aqua iron gates welcome visitors to this elegant pink house that’s guarded by golden birds.

On this unique home, I can’t tell if the peeling pink paint with exposed brick is intentional or not. I’m leaning toward thinking it was done on purpose as an artistic touch. What do you think?

Pink and stone historic home

It’s not often you see a pair of pink houses together. Two clapboard houses are bathed in pink, one accented in white and tan, the other in blue and cream. My current house was pink when I bought it. I almost hated to paint it but I felt like my home was telling me it should be yellow.

Here’s an amazing Victorian home that has everything. Lots of gingerbread, a turret, stained glass windows, and of course – the color pink.

Okay, this isn’t a house, but I had to include it! Isn’t it the perfect color scheme and aesthetic for a florist? Who can resist walking inside to see more?

Pink Victorian store

I’m not really sure what this building is, but like the store above, I had to include it. It’s just so cute sitting there all by itself. I do know that it’s located in Sofiyivsky Park in Ukraine. Sofiyivka is a scenic landmark of world gardening design.

Today’s collection of pink houses started with a Victorian home with a white picket fence, and we’ll end it the same way. If any style of architecture has a right to be pink, it’s Victorian.

Did today’s post put a smile on your face? That was my intent – to end 2022 and begin 2023 with a bit of joy and cheer! Stay safe out there tonight.

  1. What a perfect way to end the year. Pink makes me happy and with all the dreary weather the flowers and pink brings smiles and a cosy, peaceful feeling. Have a wonderful New Year’s.

  2. It is interesting to see pink on houses in cooler climates, I have only seen it in warmer ones.
I would think the exposed brick is intentional, this is a popular look in Europe.

  5. The first one is my favorite. And yes I think the brick was intentional. Now I want my house to be pink inside AND out 🙂

  6. I think the house had ivy on it that was either removed or it died and then they liked the look and expanded the “peel”.

  7. I don’t know if I could paint my house pink or not but, these are wonderful houses to look at and enjoy. They each one have a difference that make them so pretty and makes me smile. Thanks Jennifer and have a Happy New year.

  8. Thanks for a fun NY Eve post! Funny, I have never been a pink person, but recently was looking through older posts from “Dimples and Tangles” blogs- totally fell in love with her older pink rugs and color schemes. And I have always dreamed of having a grand Old Lady Victorian home, big sigh.

  9. These pink homes are just delightful. I’m partial to the Victorians but thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Happy New Year!
