Charming Home Tour ~ On Sutton Place

You know how realtors have Open House Sunday when you can take a tour of houses for sale, whether you’re in the market for a new home or not?  Well, I feel like this Charming Home series is like a virtual Open House, except the homes aren’t for sale. I look forward to featuring a different home each Sunday and this week I’m happy to say we’ll be touring Ann’s beautiful home at On Sutton Place.

Living Room at On Sutton PlaceAnn’s traditional style living room is indicative of the light colors with wood accents that you’ll see throughout her home. She has an affinity for the color blue, and it looks so well paired with yellow in her living room.

Traditional Style Dining Room in Blue and YellowThe classic Swedish colors of blue and yellow continue into Ann’s dining room. I love her use of pattern and she does it so well with the geometric print on the dining chairs and the softer floral trellis on the walls.

Blue, white, and yellow kitchen at On Sutton PlaceAnn has so many great details in her light and airy kitchen. The tiled basket of fruit over her kitchen sink is a great focal point and lends to the overall charm of her home.

White traditional kitchen Blue and white are a traditional color combo that you can’t go wrong with.

Wood floors underfoot add timeless appeal in the kitchen.

Eat in Kitchen with Yellow IslandA gorgeous yellow island provides eat-in convenience while affording a view of the backyard.

Dark blue built-in cupboards provide ample storage space while looking pretty at the same time.

Airy back porch with wicker seatingI love, love, love Ann’s back porch! The colorful rug adds drama and fun to the sweet space.

If I lived in her home, it would be hard to remove me from this room.

Expansive Back Deck Just outside the back porch is an expansive deck for outdoor living.

Healthy hostas frame the railing and provide softness.

Red and White Master BedroomRed and white claim the space in Ann’s master bedroom.

An oriental patterned spread and pillows combine with grain sack and ticking pillows.

Vintage Redwork PillowsAnn is a talented seamstress and shares several sewing tutorials on her blog.

I adore these vintage redwork pillows. Much of what she sews can be found in her online shop.

Home of On Sutton PlaceI hope you enjoyed today’s tour of On Sutton Place!

Such a pretty home that’s loved and well cared for.

  3. I am a newbe to the blog world and Ann was the very first blogger I started following. I was hooked the first day and I think I went through every archive post that she has…that very first day. I think I clicked on every link she had, which also let me to other bloggers. By then I couldn’t get enough seeing so many beautiful homes and so many DIY’s! I felt like I was a stalker! Ann’s house and her blogs is one of my very favorite and I’m always excited when I see emails from her pop into my inbox! Of course Town and Country Living is right up there with one of my favorites. sharing her home with us.
