One of my favorite things about blogging is the wonderful people I get to meet online! So many of you have left wonderful comments and each one is treasured more than you will know! Recently one of my readers emailed me to let me know she’s selling her home and wondered if I would share it. One look at her adorable, well-kept house and it didn’t take long for me to respond back with a resounding YES! I think you’ll find her home to be loaded with appeal! I know I thoroughly enjoyed it! So without further adieu, let’s tour this charming older home located in Dixon, Illinois.
Leafy shade trees and a quiet residential street create an iconic slice of Americana.
Dixon is a cute little town situated on the Rock River which runs through the center of town.
Fish scales near the roof peak, round pillars on the porch, and golden clapboard siding create a pretty home.
Did you know Dixon, Illinois is the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan?
The downtown area has lots of antique shops, coffee/book stores , and more!
Hardwood floors add additional warmth to the white country kitchen.
Did you notice the built-in cabinets and beautiful wainscoting? What’s not to love?
The owners are moving out-of-state and hate to sell this charmer!
Usually older homes have boxy layouts, but this one is quite spacious and appealing.
By the way, all photos were taken by the homeowner.
If I were moving to Dixon, I would definitely put this house on my shopping list.
The current owners watch the 4th of July fireworks from their backyard.
