Welcome back to the Charming Home Series here at Town and Country Living! Today’s tour features a lovely cottage home by the sea that I found over at Houzz. We’re taking a little break from the Christmas festivities to showcase a charmingly elegant home.
The front entry of this classic home is simple yet sophisticated. Symmetrical potted trees add pretty elegance.
The vaulted white living room is grounded with dark wood floors. A wall of windows allows plenty of light to shine in, creating a light and airy space. Books on an expansive book shelf provide pops of color.
The vaulted ceiling continues in the traditional style kitchen. Glass front cabinets continue the cottage home style. The island has storage for wine and a beautiful wood dining table complements the white kitchen.
A close-up shows the mantel details above the kitchen range. Silver letters and crystal pendants dripping from candle holders add a bit of bling to this gorgeous kitchen.
I have a thing for staircases. I don’t really know why … they just really appeal to me when they’re unique, grand, or quaint like this cottage home staircase. And I always prefer stairs that don’t have carpeting. I like runners, but I want to see some wood on the steps.
Upstairs, a beautiful white bedroom creates a serene and peaceful space to retreat from the world.
Normally I wouldn’t fall in love with a laundry room but this one stole my heart! I love the architectural details like the Dutch door, the bead board front cabinets, and open shelves with baskets for storage.
Finally, outside this charming cottage home by the sea is a deck to enjoy the scent of ocean breezes. Pretty floral pillows soften the wood deck chairs.
And now on a completely different note, tomorrow starts a week of stunning rooms decorated for Christmas. Join me on Wednesday for my kitchen showcase during “All Through the House” week!
