Sweet and Simple Easter Table Setting

I’m sitting here thinking of Easter as it’s blowing snow outside. Every few years we get an April snow and I guess this is the year we’re blessed with one last flurry of the white stuff. It promises to be in the 60’s later this week so the snow will be gone soon, thankfully. I’m also sitting here thinking of how quickly Easter approached this year, with all its pastel beauty. I love the colors of Easter and sprinkled them across my Easter table setting.

Easter-Table-SettingSpring flowers take center stage on the table.

A pot of grape hyacinths and 2 potted pink cyclamens lend an air of quaintness.

Spring-Place-SettingI found some aqua plates at Home Goods and knew they’d look great paired with pink.

I love the smell of hyacinths … no other flower compares to its scent.

Spring-Table-SettingA stretch of pink filato paper is used as a wide table runner. Filato paper is a waterproof, non-woven material that’s soft to the touch. Almost feels like a thin piece of felt. A wide, white burlap ribbon runs down the center, with a narrower aqua burlap ribbon atop that.

Spring-Table-Decor with painted wooden eggsOf course, we have to include a few painted, wooden eggs at our Easter table setting.

Easter-TablescapeOnce the snow melts outside and Easter dinner is over, I’ll plant these spring flowers outside so that I can enjoy them next year. I bought most of them at our local April flea market, which costs less than buying them at the garden center.

Cottage-Dining-Room-at-EasterNow that the Easter table setting is ready to go, I just have to figure out the menu!

What are you having for Easter dinner this weekend?

  1. Your Easter table looks so pretty, Jennifer. I love the soft pink filato paper runner. I’ve never heard of that before. I haven’t planned Easter dinner yet as we have such a busy weekend with church music, practice and services. It might be ham though but won’t be a big affair. I hope your snow is gone soon and that you have a great week and a blessed Easter. Pamela
