A little green and white pair together this year to set the scene for a farmhouse holiday dinner.
About a month ago, I was inspired by a stencil project that Heather at Love and Life at Leadora had created. She applied a beautiful stencil to the glass window in her front door. While thinking my china cabinet needed some lace in the glass doors, I remembered Heather’s project. This is Heather’s front door,…
Happy New Year!! Hopefully you didn’t party too much last night. During my 2014 Christmas home tour I shared my new white sectional, but I didn’t share much of the background story with you. For months I had been thinking about getting a new sectional. When it comes to furniture, I’m always shy to pull…
Normally when I think of dessert I think of chocolate! Doesn’t everyone? But every so often I get a craving for desserts that don’t involve chocolate. Like creme brulee. It’s my all-time favorite. But today – it’s about a holiday classic – Christmas trifle with mixed berries. Trifle is a delightful layered dessert and you…
When you think of farmhouse flowers, what do you imagine? Â Garden daisies in a mason jar? Â Colorful zinnias in a white ironstone pitcher? Most likely you see a simple vessel filled with flowers from the garden. Today is Farmhouse Friday and I’m so happy our topic this month is floral accents. I don’t think there…
The sun came out for a change today, so I grabbed my camera at lunch and took a walk around town practicing some shots. In my recent post about claw foot tubs I mentioned I was getting a new camera. So with my new Nikon D3000 in hand, I braved the cold knowing the sun would…
It’s no secret I love bottle brush trees and I’m always thinking of creative ways to display them during the holidays. Sometimes the smallest detail can make a big difference. I haven’t used up all my ideas yet for displaying bottle brush trees, which is a good thing. I can use the ideas next year!…

Luv the vintage ornaments.
Merry Christmas.

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail
It is all so pretty, I just love the vintage ornaments. Vintage ornaments come in the best colors.

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
Blessings,
Linda
