When hubby inherited a blanket chest from his Aunt Marion, he put his foot down and told me I couldn’t touch it with a paint brush. Well, after several pieces of furniture got a makeover in our home, he relented to my constant begging to re-do the vintage chest. Here she is wearing her new colors … Aunt…
Christmas came early for me this year! My new pedestal dining table and chairs were delivered the week after Thanksgiving. I gave my large table (extends up to 11 feet) and chairs to my daughter for her new home and found a smaller table so I could move my dining space back to the sitting…
Glitter is flying everywhere, ornament boxes are strewn about the floor, and kitties are chasing errant curls of ribbon around the house. My favorite season of blogging is finally here and once again I’m honored to participate in Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk, sponsored by Wayfair. The past few weekends have been a little chaotic getting…
Stepping through the front door, friends and visitors get a first impression of your home. I try to create a welcoming entryway in hopes that people feel happy and warm when they walk inside. The first thing you see when walking in my front door is this corner by the window. It’s not really…
Lately I keep looking at decor photos in order to keep myself focused on the look I really want in my home. When I was first married, I loved the Asian look. Then my sis turned me on to American Country style (I know, quite a difference). This led to a more Modern Country style…
One of my favorite schoolgirl memories of Christmas was studying how other countries celebrate Christmas. I envisioned being a Danish child putting my wooden shoes by the fireplace instead of hanging stockings. Or dreaming of one day having a collection of colorful German nutcrackers. Participating in a Mexican Posada to mimic Mary and Joseph’s journey…
Your table and dining room are stunning! I love the clean, crisp simplicity of it all. Thank you for sharing it!

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.

Linda
