Inspirational Rooms from 13 Bloggers

I have to confess, sometimes I get tired of looking at my own rooms. I suppose that’s why home decorating blogs and magazines are so popular. We can live vicariously through these creative people. Thumbing through the pages of Country Living magazine, or scrolling through your favorite blogs, you can envision yourself inside someone else’s charming home, lounging on their designer sofa with your feet up on the coffee table, enjoying the surroundings.  This led me to think it would be fun to ask some of my blogging friends to share their favorite rooms!

Pottery Barn Style Living RoomLet’s start with living rooms!  Bre at Rooms for Rent claims her living room is her fave room in the house, and it’s easy to see why! Blue coastal stripes pair with neutrals to create a gorgeous yet livable room.

Traditional Living RoomRachel at Shades of Blue Interiors also chooses her living room as her favorite room in the house, which you can see in her spring home tour. The patterned rug immediately attracts your eye and is balanced by the elaborate chandelier overhead. Seeing Rachel’s room makes me feel like I need a pretty chandie or two in my home.

Boho Chic Living Room with Leather Chesterfield SofaAlice at Thoughts from Alice recently gave her living room a makeover and it’s easy to see why this room tops her favorite list! I love her new leather Chesterfield sofa! Note how the nail head trim and tufting on the sofa matches the nail head trim and tufting on the ottoman! The rug underfoot is a beautiful finishing touch!

Of course, I love a white kitchen and this one comes complete with a beautifully painted kitchen island and a fun, colorful rug!

Elegant Cottage Style Dining RoomOne of Shannon’s favorite rooms is her dining space. She blogs over at AKA Design and I’ve been a huge fan of her dining room for quite a while now. In this picture she shows how she decorated for Easter.
