Little Farmstead: Charming Home Tour

Are you one of the many fans of farmhouse style?  Before Joanna Gaines came on the scene, farmhouse decor was already popular thanks to Martha Stewart. And now with shows like Fixer Upper, the appeal of farmhouse style is skyrocketing. Today I’m super excited to share an extremely charming home with you that lives and breathes farm decor. Julie blogs at Little Farmstead and I’m truly honored to feature her home here on my blog today.

White Farmhouse Living Room

Julie shares my love of white and she even gives tips on how to live with white. She uses texture to add interest to her neutral family room.

White Farmhouse Dining Room

Julie’s white palette extends to her farmhouse dining room with its gorgeous chandelier and pretty mantel. I love the mirror above her mantel and the ample windows that let in plentiful light.

White Farmhouse Kitchen

More beautiful windows in Julie’s farmhouse kitchen provide light for the lavender topiaries at the skirted sink. Weathered cross-back stools add a little French flair to the breakfast bar.

Farmhouse Living Room

Julie does a great job selecting decor that fits her farmhouse vibe.  A coffee grain sack over the back of a wing back chair, a ladder to display textiles, a simple bench that serves as a coffee table, and a wonderful painted corner cabinet all come together to create a cozy corner.

Office Space in Charming Farmhouse

Most farm houses don’t have a separate room for an office, but Julie managed to tuck a work space into a corner of her beautiful home. Open shelves provide opportunity to display a few of her favorite things.

Shabby Chic Bedroom

Shabby chic softness blankets the bed in Julie’s master bedroom. An amazing white armoire in the corner creates stylish storage space.

Boys Bedroom

A festive banner, marquee letter, and patchwork quilt work well together in the boy’s bedroom with its cozy braided rug underfoot.

Farmhouse Entryway

I saved the entryway for last because there are special places outside I want to share with you. Julie created an appealing gallery wall leading up the steps and I love how a sun-filled window at the bottom of the steps lets in natural light. Now let’s head outside which is as equally appealing as the interior of Julie’s charming home.

Farmhouse Front Porch

Julie’s front porch welcomes you with its cute little Home Sweet Home Sign. The exterior colors of her home are classic and pretty. I love the front door with its full window. Pretty white wicker completes the farmhouse look.

Farmhouse Back Porch

The farmhouse’s back porch is big enough for entertaining, or simply sitting outside and enjoying the bucolic views.

Wisteria on Back Porch

The back porch is also adorned with stunning wisteria!!  I think I would just sit out here all day and night.

Charming Farmhouse Outbuilding

When you live in a farmhouse, sometimes you’re lucky to have a charming outbuilding or two on the property.  Julie has made this little structure so adorable with its hanging baskets, simple bench, and sweet little tie-back curtains.  How cute!

Farmhouse Country Scene

Julie has made effective use of her outdoor space. I love the rustic benches paired with fuzzy throws. A teepee is a great touch for kids. Her outdoor space is great for family gatherings.

Be sure to visit Julie at Little Farmstead to enjoy more of her farmhouse decor and lifestyle!

  1. Very pretty. I love it. I do have different colors in furniture, and some decor and personal items I have are just not white, so I can’t do this look all through my apartment, but I do use cream as my main neutral and love the light, unfussy look, and the soft, cozy look is so welcoming after work.

I love the cottage farmhouse look, and her living room is so pretty.
