One more week until Christmas. Can you believe it? Today we’re heading up north … not to the North Pole but to Canada to tour the lovely home of Kristi who blogs at Making It in the Mountains. I think you’ll love her farmhouse style. She’s creative and resourceful and has worked wonders in her house.
Kristi’s family room is currently decorated for Christmas with mini Christmas trees and a bit of garland.
The other side of the family room features an amazing chalkboard wall that Kristi painted. A sliding barn door completes the look.
A light-filled room serves as an office decorated in neutral decor. See that wall over to the right?
Kristi used paint to give it a cement tile look. I told you she was resourceful! I think this is so pretty and artistic, and a great way to personalize a room.
You’ll find farmhouse touches in Kristi’s hallway. An old window frame displays a wreath and a chalkboard is easily customized with seasonal messages.
A beaded chandelier hangs above the metal bed in the master bedroom that Kristi recently made over. Soft textiles pair well with black accents. Kristi stenciled the left wall.
The master closet wears a wall of pretty decorative paper. See how Kristi organized her bedroom closet to keep it neat and tidy.
Kristi’s son enjoys a warm and cozy room with a wood plank wall and upholstered head board. The sheets match the stag head keeping watch overhead.
Normally I don’t get too excited over bathrooms but I fell in love with Kristi’s newly remodeled bathroom. From the shiplap walls to the industrial light fixtures to the amazing vanity … what’s not to love?
Kristi’s front porch is decorated for Christmas and ready for Santa. The seating area to the left is welcoming and provides a great place to sit and enjoy the views of Alberta, Canada.
