How I Rejuvenate with a Little “Me Time”

Recently, I returned from a huge social media conference in San Diego that I attended for work. It was my first trip to America’s Finest City and it’s gorgeous! I took walks at the end of the day to unwind and process everything I learned that day. Social media is always changing and it’s sometimes a lot to keep up with, but it’s a big part of my job and I need to stay on top of it. When I got back home I was feeling a little overwhelmed with all the new ideas swirling in my head that I wanted to implement at work. On top of that were my blogging duties, answering emails, making time to see my kids, reconnecting with my hubby… I think you get the idea. I needed a little “me time” to decompress and regroup!

Milano Cookies for Me TimeI have to confess. Chocolate and sweets are my preferred way to unwind and de-stress. For years I swore chocolate lifted my spirits and could change my attitude. And now we know there’s evidence that proves chocolate has mood enhancing chemicals. I knew I wasn’t crazy!

Pepperidge Farm Milano CookiesI don’t like an overwhelming amount of chocolate though… just a touch to savor the moment. Too much and it can have just the opposite effect! I actually have chocolate allergies so I can’t over-indulge. I suppose that’s a good thing though since it keeps me from over-eating.

Milk and Milano CookiesMy favorite go-to cookie with just the right amount of chocolate when I need a little “me time” is Pepperidge Farm® Milano® cookies! They have just the right dose of chocolate to transport me to my happy place! Mint Chocolate Milano cookies are my favorite. They’re light, crispy, and always pair well with a cold glass of milk.

Enjoying Me Time with Cookies and MilkAnother “me time” activity that always brightens my mood is thumbing through magazines or looking at decorating websites. I’ve been doing this ever since I was a teenager. It never fails. A few cookies and a little eye candy and I’m good to go!

Milk Chocolate Milano Cookies Let’s face it. We love all the different roles that we fill every day, but often it can feel like we’re not juggling them all really well. Sometimes we just need to take a moment to focus on ourselves.

I’ve found that a little bit of cookie sweetness can take the edge off when you have a lot of tasks to juggle. When you need a little “me time,” how do you like to unwind and pamper yourself? Leave a comment below to enter for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!
