The Snuggery: Charming Home Tour
Today’s charming home is located out east and features beautiful architecture and some amazing light fixtures. You might remember earlier this week I confessed that lighting is my decorating weakness (I’m working on it though). I was impressed not only by this home’s chandeliers and lights, but its open spaces with bright and airy appeal. The project is by Stephens & Company, Inc. and the photos were taken by Wendy Mills Photography.
The first thing your eye sees in the spacious living room is the stone fireplace. It leads your eye up to the vaulted ceiling with a wood beam, from which is suspended a unique light fixture – simple and rustic.

The living room opens up to the kitchen; a perfect space for gathering family together or entertaining friends.

In the kitchen, blue paint covers the lower cabinets, while the upper cabinets are white. I love two-tone cabinetry, especially in a larger kitchen. It tends to break up the space. Rustic pendant lights hang over the kitchen island while wall-mounted lights suspend over the sink and windows.

Just off the pretty white dining room is a home office in a room filled with windows.

I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved a gorgeous stairway – and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Here’s a view at the top of the staircase. Again, another beautiful and somewhat rustic light fixture. I love all the natural light that pours into this house.

A wall of custom cabinetry fills the wall of one of the bedrooms. Wouldn’t it be great to have all that storage space?

Creamy white walls and pure white trim adorn the bathroom with its beautiful tub shiplap on the bottom half of the walls.

The outside of this charming home reveals as much character as the outside.

It is indeed snug and has a singular color theme .

I can’t figure out how….the height of this cottage can have such a high staircase???? It’s a beautiful house and i love it! I love the shiplap…not because of the fixer upper show but because my A-Frame is filled with cedar ceilings and the house is 32 years old..
LOVE the stone on your fireplace. What is the stone and who makes it?
