Simple Spring Decor in a Farmhouse Kitchen

Don’t let the cheery spring decor in my farmhouse kitchen fool you … snow is still on the ground outside! But tomorrow’s temperature is supposed to be above 50 degrees so I’m hoping all that white fluffy stuff melts and washes away.  When the weather warms up I like to do some editing around the house and create a simpler look … less dusting to do which leaves more time for playing outside.

Spring Decor in a Farmhouse KitchenI started decorating this side of my kitchen by stringing a little banner across my trio of farmhouse windows.

Pink Gerbera DaisiesLike these beautiful, pink gerbera daisies in a vintage aqua vase.

Lemons and a vintage mirrorEven edibles like these lemons add a pop of color in my farmhouse kitchen.

Which just goes to show, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to decorate your home.

White Daisies in a Mason JarWhite daisies always remind me of my mother … they’re her favorite flower.

But I’m careful not to spend too much money for any one piece.

White ironstone bowl in farmhouse kitchenThis is my favorite white ironstone bowl.

I can’t remember if I found it at the flea market or on Ebay.

Farmhouse Kitchen ShelvingI even added a couple bottles of blooms on top of the stove.

Just a few simple additions of spring in my farmhouse kitchen.

  1. I love your kitchen, Jennifer – everything from the green tiled flooring to the white cabinets & windows, the ironstone, and your pops of aqua & yellow – those colors in combination just sing to me. Daisies are such happy flowers, and last so long – surely until spring really comes. 🙂

  2. I love how your kitchen looks so fresh and clean with the bright white walls and wood work. Make me wish I could take a sledge hammer to the tan tumbled marble back splash in my kitchen. Unfortunately, Honey would not be amused.

Keep the eye candy coming! Great job on your photographs!

  3. Your kitchen looks lovely and has such great light. May I ask where you found that dish drainer rack? I don’t have a dishwasher and am always looking for a better solution.

  4. Jennifer you always do such a beautiful job in your kitchen. Love Gerber Daisies, nice a large and full of color. I can’t wait to get in our new home to decorate my new kitchen. It won’t be too long now!!

  5. So pretty! As always! I love ironstone too. I used to find them at thrift shops all the time but not so much lately. Still loving your cute paper garland. You’re ready for spring!
