10 Examples of Log Walls

After my father graduated from college, he opened his own painting and wallpapering business and called it Community Decorating. He did this for a few years before becoming a math and science teacher, but he still kept the decorating business going for weekend and summer jobs. I worked with him during the summers when I attended college and later helped my brother for a bit with his painting and decorating business. My brother hooked up with a log cabin contractor and we painted the interiors of log cabins. These were big, custom homes that were just gorgeous and they are my inspiration for sharing 10 examples of log walls that prove log walls can have many appearances.

Pale log walls prove the inside of a log home doesn’t have to be dark and claustrophobic. This kitchen and dining space is surprisingly light and airy. Painted kitchen cabinets and long curtains add an appealing pop of color.

I love the cut log walls in this home. They add great texture and a richness that’s not overbearing. White trimmed windows and accents of yellow and turquoise add cottage style to this rustic bedroom.
