12 Spring Decor Projects

Last night we got hit with snow, but fortunately it wasn’t near the 7 inches of fluffy stuff the weatherman predicted. It looked more like two inches to me. And since our weather is warming up in a couple days, the snow will be gone soon. Crazy Chicago area weather! All this makes me crave spring all the more, so today I’m sharing 12 spring decor projects you can make. They’re all fairly simple to do. (This post contains affiliate links.)

Let’s start with this fun little ribbon table runner that I made for a quaint spring table setting. I started with a wide burlap ribbon, then added lace and grosgrain ribbons. The final ribbon is lightweight and retains its curlicue nature.

Another super easy spring project is a window valance I made with vintage hankies. All this required was choosing the hankies and hanging them over a tension rod. Easy as pie and looks cute too!

A quick way to add spring decor to your home is with a fun banner. This one was made with book pages and botanical prints.

And this banner was made with pre-made pennant pieces. All you have to do is glue the decorative cards onto the pennant wood chip banner, and then string them on a stretch of twine.

Do you enjoy writing letters? Why not make your own handmade greeting cards? I had so much fun making these spring-themed cards with white stock note cards.

You can easily create spring decor in your home with spring printables. I made four versions of this spring quote you can download for free.

When you’re decorating for spring, don’t forget about your bedroom! These vintage pillowcases freshen up any bedroom. Choose a few spring print fabrics in any color, add lace or pom-pom trim, and then mix and match them up! The instructions for sewing the vintage pillowcases are pretty straightforward.

Another spring project involving fabric of sorts is stenciled napkins. Choose plain white napkins from the store and pick a stencil. It’s a great way to dress up plain napkins for your spring table setting.

Spring decorating always involves Easter at some point. My favorite Easter project is fun little globe terrariums dressed up with chicks, bunnies, and wooden eggs. Make these with your kids or grandchildren. They’ll love them!

Last week I shared six Easter printables that you can download and use in a variety of craft projects. I added them to painted wood plaques and will use them as party gifts for Easter guests at the table.

Speckled eggs are always popular at Easter, but they can sometimes be expensive. See how to make your own with plain paper mache eggs and save some money.

After you’re done with your spring projects, it’s time to treat yourself with cute cupcakes!

  1. love the pillow cases, I make them all the time using thrift store printed sheets, but I will have to start adding some lace like you did, those are really cute!

  2. I hope our snow fall turns out to be less( like yours was) here in Maine. So ready for spring, too. I have many vintage handkerchiefs and using them as a curtain might be sweet in my kitchen. I think I will go pull them out and remind myself of what is in my collection – while I wait for the snow…

  3. Cute ideas, i love the hanky curtains and pillow cases. Oh and those cute cupcakes, they look delicious. Thanks is a great round up of Spring.
