  1. Tis the season! Being a senior on a fixed income, I could certainly use the $200 to bring some holiday cheer to my family. Thanks.

  2. We bake a Norwegian cookie called Krumkake. Both of our families are Norwegian and so for our entire lives my Grandma, Mother, all our Aunts and cousins have made them. It would not be the holidays without them….

  3. My favorite holiday tradition is going to the Christmas eve service and then come home and have supper and open the gifts.

  4. Every year at my Dad’s side of the family celebration, all of the cousins grab nerf guns and we have this huge war to see who gets first gift; it’s the absolute best.

  5. Every Christmas Eve we make at least 3 different kinds of cookies, Oreo truffles, and chocolate covered pretzels. We eat Lil’ Smokies that have been simmering in the Crock Pot all day for dinner, along with other finger foods because who has time for cooking with so much baking going on!

  6. My favourite Christmas tradition is to make Christmas pudding for our dessert. The recipe has been passed down through the generations of our family. It makes Christmas, Christmas for me.

  7. Oops! Forgot to tell you my favorite tradition. 🙂 When I was a child, my parents would take my brothers and I to church at 11pm for the Candlelight Service. Our church had been built in the 1930’s. It was big, grand, and ornate with red velvet pews, white columns, and golden chandeliers. The pipe organ filled the sanctuary with music that could make your heart swell. I sat there in awe as the the adult choir sang beautiful Christmas songs and the pastors shared scripture of the Christmas story. At 11:45pm, we would light the candles each of us were holding, the chandeliers were turned off, and the entire church was filled with the soft, ethereal light of hundreds of candles. We would then lift our voices acapella singing “Silent Night”. God’s presence was beautifully tangible. I never wanted it to end. As we exited the sanctuary, all of the children would be handed an orange and a box of chocolates. At home, all snuggled in my bed, I would dream of a magical evening of God’s love and peace. ♥

  8. it is just me and my hubby with no family in the state and we arent big holiday people so we just go to a movie or two and enjoy spending the day together away from work
