9 DIY Summer Wreath Ideas

We’re two weeks into summer and if you don’t have one yet, it’s not too late to get a wreath for your door. I gathered nine DIY summer wreath ideas along with a few links to purchase one if you don’t want to make your own. (This post contains affiliate links.)

DIY Summer Wreath Ideas

One of my personal favorite DIY summer wreaths is this white grapevine wreath with faux pink hydrangeas that I made a few years ago. It only took a few minutes and since the flowers are fake, it lasts all season long.

If you want a fragrant wreath for indoors, look no further than an amazing lavender wreath. Preserved lavender is fragrant and will last indefinitely in your home. I just planted some lavender by my pond and hope to harvest and dry it later on.

For something different, try making my paper birdhouse embroidery hoop wreath. It’s super inexpensive and includes a template for making the birdhouse.

I fell in love with the simplicity of this dried floral wreath. Roses and peonies lend pink and dark rose hues against green leaves.

Here’s another white grapevine wreath idea. Even though it includes evergreen sprigs, it’s still appropriate for summer with its sunny yellow berries. Don’t forget, evergreen trees are in season all year long.

Beautiful blue cornflowers look great with daisies in this fresh floral wreath. Although it won’t last long, it sure would be pretty for a party or even a wedding.

I tried my hand at a fresh floral wreath when I made this one with impatiens.

This sunny yellow porch enjoys a heart-shaped preserved boxwood wreath. So cute!

And finally, a traditional floral wreath. It’s fairly easy to buy a wreath form at the craft store and then select the faux flower picks you want to include. Just stick the stems into the form until you get the look you want.

  1. These are so pretty with summer flowers in them. I already have my summer wreath but I pinned them for next summer.

  2. These are all so pretty. I love the evergreens with the yellow berries. I think I will make that. Thank you.

  3. Funny..I too picked that wreath with the yellow berries to make later…this would be great for summer or even a fall wreath.
I’m always looking for ideas to change up my door decor.

  4. Dried roses and peonies together! Saved that idea one for indoors. I never thought about evergreens being a part of a summer wreath but your right..they’re always in season so why not!? Buying greens or anything right now is so expensive so using what I have is a must. Stay cool Jennifer!
