Airy Sunroom in a Classic Colonial Home

It makes me happy when by chance I stumble across a pretty room that’s sure to lighten anyone’s spirits who enters the space. Today’s monochromatic yet airy sunroom by Danielle Rose Design Co. is blessed with texture in the form of painted brick walls, loads of architectural trim, and just enough plants to keep it interesting.

 
 
Look at the beautiful detailing of the trim work in this space. A pair of diamond reliefs flank a French door leading into the main area of the house. Crown molding meets additional trim on the walls and windows. Note, too, the pattern below the windows. Chairs with built-in ottomans create the perfect spot for reading and gazing at nature while tassled throws will lend a bit of warmth if needed.
 
 
 
 
Upholstered chairs with nail-head trim cozy up to a weathered table for two. Rich wood floors help to warm the space. Across the street are pretty homes, so in addition to trees and nature, you can enjoy the charm of the neighborhood.
 
 
 
 
A centerpiece of faux greens blends with the greenery outdoors making the transition from sunroom to outside almost seamless. I don’t know about you, but I just might enjoy every meal right here in this little dining nook.
 
 
 
 
A pretty monstera plant lends a healthy pop of greenery against the white brick wall while an oversized wooden clock keeps you from perhaps spending too many hours daydreaming the time away.
 
 
I hope you enjoyed today’s airy sunroom by Danielle Rose Design Co. in an historic Colonial home. I find the monochromatic color scheme to be peaceful and restful.
