Bring the Wild into Your Home with Stunning Animal Wallpaper Designs!
Bit by bit I’m getting closer to my dining room reveal. I shared when I got new furniture (smaller table, less chairs), but we’ve since added board and batten, new paint, and today I ordered wallpaper! I haven’t papered anything in the last 20 years but I still have all my dad’s old tools and am prepared to give it a go. My philosophy is that wallpaper hanging is like riding a bike – once you learn, you never forget. We’ll see. In the meantime, I’m sharing a collection of fun, animal wallpaper designs because the paper I chose has animals. More specifically, bunnies. Perfect for Easter, right? In fact, you can see the paper I chose in the first photo, but it’s a pale green-blue color.
This transitional dining room features birds in its tropical design. The chairs seem to echo that tropic vibe, along with the Capiz shell pendant light (which I love).
A vivid blue entryway and staircase features the popular peacock design from Rifle Paper Co. The rabbit paper (called Fable) I ordered is from the same company. I love most of their prints – you’ve probably seen them on Pinterest or on other decorating blogs.
Birds pair with deer in this striped animal wallpaper. A coordinating fabric is used for window treatments. I used to sew all my own curtains. I’m thinking about taking that up again. Curtains are way easier to sew than clothes and I like the custom look they create.
Woodland animals decorate the walls of a boys bedroom. The dark background would make you feel like it’s nighttime in your room. I love this paper with its emphasis on the animals.

How about turtles in the bathroom? If you’re afraid to go bold with wallpaper, a small room is a great place to take the plunge. Everything works together in this blue and white beach style bathroom.
Butterflies make their appearance in a charming laundry room. I have to admit, it can be a bit daunting choosing a wallpaper pattern. There are SO many options! I went to our local paint store that carries a library of wallpaper books that you can check out. I limited myself to looking at just a few, otherwise it would’ve taken all weekend to decide.
I’ve seen this whimsical fish paper and have always loved it. Not sure I’d put it in my own home, but if I lived near the ocean, it would be a top contender.
Here’s the paper I chose for my dining room, but shown in a bedroom. It’s Fable in the mineral color, by Rifle Paper Co. And lucky for me, it’s 25% off during the month of April. I ordered the traditional wallpaper that you have to paste. It’s what I’m used to working with and I think it will be easy to hang than peel and stick – but I could be wrong.
