Cape Cod Renovation in St. Louis Park

Cape Cod homes are cozy and cute, but sometimes “cozy” can mean cramped living spaces. Today’s home tour features a charming Cape Cod renovation by Anchor Builders out of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. They kept all the charm of yesteryear while creating a house that keeps up with today’s trends and lifestyle.

The exterior of the home now has curb appeal that makes you want to step inside and take a look around.

The unique architectural details were kept intact and create wonderful appeal. Practical finishes were included like this tile floor that withstands heavy traffic from the outdoors.

The living room is warm and inviting. The mantel retains its original finish and easily becomes the focal point of the room.

The kitchen features warm wood floors, pendant lighting, a large kitchen island, and beautiful cabinetry.

This Cape Cod renovation is the type of house I could easily move into! I love every square inch.

You’ll find more of the unique arched doorways throughout the home.

Another angle of the dining room shows off the charming little nook with its trio of small windows. They remind me a little bit of the windows in my kitchen. Love that crown molding, too. Of course, you can’t ignore the beautiful dining set with its pretty rug underfoot.

A convenient laundry room is located off one of the bathrooms.

The bathroom has an amazing double vanity – super expansive so you’re not running into your spouse in the morning.

A charming claw foot tub is adjacent to a beautiful step-in shower with subway tile. This is exactly what I’d love to have in a master suite; an old-fashioned tub with an updated shower.

  1. Ooh, I could live there! Too bad it can’t be transported to this area with room for my chickens in the back yard. Nirvana!

  2. Was this in St Louis, Missouri or St Louis Park, Minnesota? I live in Minnesota so that caught my attention as I don’t think there is a St Louis, Minnesota. Beautiful home!

  3. Love this look…clean and simple and still pretty. You said “St. Louis, MN”, but it’s called St. Louis Park, and it’s a treasure trove of homes like this. Unfortunately, many are being torn down and replaced with hulking modern affairs, which look out of place and also block the sunlight from their next-door neighbors. I’m so glad to see one that has been renovated sympathetically.

  4. Stunning cape cod and I love the classic traditional decor. So refreshing to see that they didn’t do modern farmhouse.
