Elevate Your Spring Curb Appeal with Beautiful Porch Decorating Ideas

Ahh spring! Who doesn’t love this season that features the reawakening of the earth from its long slumber? If you’ve been bit by the spring fever bug, consider elevating your home’s spring curb appeal with today’s ideas for decorating the front porch or door.

A big statement maker that’s easy to accomplish is the use of a colorful wreath on the front door. Maybe you already have one in storage that you’d like to use but it’s past its prime. Pick up a few stems of silk flowers and add them to your existing wreath for a fresh look.

Consider your choice of porch furnishings and add colorful pillows or rug to the space. It’s easy to swap these elements out from season to season and a small touch can go along way.

A Front Porch Decorated for the Spring

 

Can you ever have too many tulips when it comes to spring curb appeal? Load up a wreath with silk tulips and add them to pots that flank the front door. You can also buy potted tulips and transplant them to your existing containers for a fresh and cheery look.

You don’t necessarily have to choose spring flowers when decorating your porch for the season. Choose spring colors like pink, yellow, or lavender.

If simplicity is your thing, consider a single basket of spring flowers for your porch like pansies, hyacinths, daffodils, or tulips. Most garden centers carry mixed spring pots this time of year.  Of course, it helps to have a colorful porch for spring curb appeal.

Boxwood is always a great choice for wreaths and topiaries. Give them a shot of springtime freshness by adding a few tulips. Note how pink Easter grass was used instead of moss for the base of the topiary. It’s a fun touch!

Feel free to go bright and bold for a spring porch. The mix of pastels and bold colors will carry well into summer. An arrangement of peach tulips gives a nod to spring and can be changed out for hydrangeas or something else during the summer months.

Gather flowers from your yard or alongside the road for a messy yet pretty arrangement on the porch. Consider lilacs, hydrangeas, sweet peas, and more for an ethereal bouquet.

Go all out for Easter which is happening a little early this year. March 31st is the big day so you’ve still got a few weeks to add colorful eggs and flowers.

When I select wreaths for my front door, I always try to complement or contrast the colors on my house. I love the yellow balls of the wreath against this blue house.

  1. I think the door with the eggs are so cute and the flower pots add even more color. My favorite thing is the color of the door in the first picture, it says welcome home.
