Dining Room Updates

One of my 2012 goals is to finish making over the dining room. It's a small cozy room whose walls used to be sage, which I loved, but after ogling over many a Swedish dining room, I decided to lighten it up with a coat of Steamed White from Lowe's. The Windsor chairs were re-painted in Graphite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Cupcakes and My Home Town

Whenever I need a little pick-me-up, I make the short drive to my hometown of Geneva, Illinois. Quaint and idyllic, the town was settled on the Fox River in 1835 and carries a heavy Swedish influence. In fact, the town's biggest festival (held in June) is appropriately dubbed Swedish Days and attracts thousands of tourists.
