Charming Home Tour ~ Sew a Fine Seam

Charming Home Series, home tour November 30, 2014

I’m so happy to be sharing Jill’s home with you today! Jill blogs at Sew a Fine Seam and I had the pleasure of meeting her last fall at the Country Living Fair in Ohio. I had been reading her blog for a while prior to meeting her. In fact, I bought some of her fabric stars for my Christmas decor a couple years ago. Jill is one mad seamstress … and I mean “mad” in a good way! Her home is beautiful too.

Shabby Chic Style Living RoomJill’s pretty living room is decorated in shabby chic style.

Do you recognize the rug? It’s just like the one in my living room!

Country Farmhouse Dining RoomJill’s dining room has classic country style!

A trestle table with bench seating and a wooden hutch provide plenty of charm.

I adore the railing of Jill’s staircase and have wanted to paint my own stairway with stripes like hers.

Windowed Nook in Farmhouse Dining RoomOn the other side of Jill’s dining room is this gorgeous nook!

I think this is my favorite spot in her charming home.

It’s so pretty and filled with sunlight. It would be hard to have a bad day sitting here.

Country Style Kitchen HutchJill’s kitchen hutch is filled with pretty white dishes.

The lamb sign is the same one that I have in my kitchen!

Master Bed with Architectural Railing for HeadboardJill has oodles of creativity, which is shown throughout her home.

She uses an architectural railing for her headboard. I adore the lamb on the side table!

Girl's Room with Stenciled WallIn one of her girl’s rooms, Jill added a fun stencil to the wall.

She artfully mixed patterns in here to create a bit of whimsy.

Cottage Style BathroomThe upstairs bath is equally charming as the rest of the house.

White bead board has classic appeal and the flowered shower curtain adds color.

Country Cabinet in Sewing RoomJill does a lot of sewing in her work room with this beautiful cabinet.

Slipcovered ChairThis slipcovered chair that Jill made for a friend is just one example of her skills.

I wish I could sew slipcovers like she does!

Painted Upholstered ChairJill also paints quite a bit of furniture, like this upholstered chair.

Yes, it’s painted and wears a charming wreath stencil.

Be sure to visit Jill at Sew a Fine Seam to see more examples of her handiwork!
