Christmas Cottage in Blue and White

You’re going to love today’s home tour! I’m calling it the Christmas Cottage because it has a bit of festive holiday spirit. The color scheme is dark blue with crisp white for a look that’s sure to please.

Red pillows in the entryway (above) create the perfect holiday accent, along with a little tree in a wooden apple cider vinegar box.

The entryway leads into a spacious kitchen that’s adjacent to the living room for an open concept floor plan.

A more panoramic view shows the expanse of the kitchen with a beautiful blue kitchen island.

On the other side of the island is a pretty bay window with a simple Christmas wreath and built-in seating. I picture the kiddos looking out this window on Christmas eve, hoping to get a glimpse of Santa in his sleigh.

A farmhouse sink and white Shaker cabinets populate the galley style kitchen.

The stove cozies up against the brick wall on the other side of the galley. Copper pots and vintage bread boards add a bit of warmth and charm.

The dining room is at the end of the kitchen and gives you a view on the size of that gorgeous kitchen island. I’m guessing that’s a convection oven in the island.

You’ll find more white brick in the family room which is adjacent to the kitchen. A large, gorgeous basket adorns the mantel, along with a small Christmas tree and a pair of candlesticks.

Snuggle up on the white sofa with chaise lounge and enjoy the fire inside the cozy Christmas cottage.

And right behind the cozy sofa is a beautiful staircase with windows and navy trellis-patterned stair runner.

The powder room is simple and pretty, dressed in black and white.

A chalkboard on a door creates a place for new artwork each season. A pretty olive bucket holds a tiny tree for holiday charm.

  1. That basket over the fireplace was wonderful piece to display and those lights over the island looked old copper, loved those too. Thanks for this tour.

  2. Thanks so much for reviving past posts-the blue and white, Christmas cottage from Nov 2020? This one was new to me, and I love it!
