Christmas Décor from West Elm: Limited Time Sale!

Is it too early to showcase Christmas décor? Rumor has it that most people will shop earlier this year than last, but I feel like “they” say that every year. Normally I wait until after Halloween to feature holiday decorations, but then I saw that West Elm is having a limited time sale. I don’t know how long the sale lasts, but I’m sharing some of my favorites that I spied. Like these quilted gingham and buffalo check Christmas stockings.  (This post contains affiliate links – see my privacy policy.)

Every year I try to develop some type of holiday theme so that my decorations are fresh and different. My mother always festooned our home the same way year after year. To be honest, I found that comforting because each of us kids had our favorite ornaments or decorations that we liked to help display.

After several decades of primping the house for the holidays, my mother’s approach to sameness is becoming more appealing to me. With that in mind, I’m going to use most of what I have on hand already; I’ll just use it in a different way. You can expect to see ornaments from one of last year’s trees throughout my home this year, but in a new way.

This year I’ll resurrect my wooden ball garland, which is now on sale at West Elm. It has a Scandinavian vibe but can be used with almost any type of holiday styling.

Even though I said I wasn’t going to buy a lot of new Christmas décor this year, I did purchase this sweet little partridge from West Elm for the top of my tree. Some of my tree toppers are so heavy and difficult to balance. I hope this one is lighter and easier to work with.

When I was a kid, we never had an advent calendar in the house. I was really disappointed when I found out about them from friends who enjoyed their little surprise each day leading up to Christmas. Sigh. I don’t know why my parents never used one. Anywho, I think this wooden tree advent calendar is pretty sweet.

Not all Christmas decor is on sale at West Elm, but I’m only showcasing items that are on sale for a limited time, like this pretty magnolia wreath and garland. Also, there’s more options than what you’ll find here today.

  1. I always forget about West Elm. Their Christmas decor is so cute! A felt tree topper would make life a bit easier I agree. Ours is a heavy snowman face that my husband loves..along with his traditional red, green and blue tree decor. I do a small tree with woodland critters and a sparkly topper that makes me happy. We don’t have anyone for the holidays so nobody ever sees the tree anyway.
Just us…met some great people on a holiday cruise once and have met up yearly for many holiday’s past but not this year.
I love mercury glass ornaments especially those large gold ones with textural designs…maybe I’ll just have to go hunt some of those today:0) Inspiration Jennifer! Thank you:0)

  2. Well no, it’s not too early!!! Hubby is bringing in the trees this week so that they can be fluffed up and the lights organized…We always put bubble lights on one tree, one of my favorites from the 50’s. Since we have a gift card we need to use from West Elm, that sweet tree topper is headed our way. I try to buy as little as possible because there are about 30 bins of Christmas in the storage space, many double sized. Therefore, I mostly vary how it is used. I know you love Summer and warm weather, but I feel so much better in cooler weather. All the bright colors and lights of the holidays are quite cheerful too, love that 🙂

  3. Your tree will be beautiful, I’m sure. Your Christmas trees are the best. Every year I look forward to what you create.
