Colorful Russian House: See How to Add Color to Any Room

Have you ever stepped inside a Russian house – virtually or in reality? This one by designer and decorator Zhenya Zhdanova is quite cheerful and charming! If you’re looking for ways to incorporate color into your interior spaces, this is the house for you!

You’ll notice an abundance of painted bead board and paneled walls throughout the home. A pair of vintage style chandeliers illuminate the dining space, decorated in red and blue. (Yesterday I posted about dining room light fixtures.)

This Russian house has many architectural details like the arched doorway and a pretty powder room tucked under a stairway. If you feel your home lacks interesting details, bead board and trim are fairly easy to install and create a custom look.

  2. Not exactly my cup of tea, but for colorful decor, it’s very well done. This would certainly brighten up a long dreary Russian winter, don’t you think?
