Current Trends and Healthy Oat Recipes: Friday Finds #96

friday finds June 3, 2022

Welcome, June! I already find myself wanting time to slow down so I can enjoy every second of summer. I seriously need to take my camera outside to take photos of all the gardens hubby and I have been working on. I can’t remember our yard ever looking as good as it does right now, and not everything is even blooming yet. This weekend we’re busy mulching and setting up the tomato trellises. I don’t consider it work – it’s my therapy, dirty fingernails and all.

The photo above shows my pond last summer. This year I chose pond plants that I haven’t grown before – except for the waterlilies. I always have waterlilies in the pond. Although this year I’ve added a night-blooming waterlily which should be interesting.

While you gear up for the weekend, enjoy this collection of Friday Finds that inspired me this week!

Let’s start with this adorable cottage inspired bedroom that will likely remind you of your grandmother’s house. Granny chic is back in style, by the way. I don’t know about you, but that makes me happy.

Speaking of grandma, here’s ideas for decorating with vintage finds. Summer is flea market season and it’s always fun to find a new treasure or two.

If you have a kitchen island and want a quick kitchen update, consider painting your island. Here’s a collection of green kitchen islands that tells what brand of color of paint that was used.

A shingle-style house with gambrel roof always makes me think of summer and this one by Patrick Ahearn doesn’t disappoint.

Ready for the latest eclectic style? See how to get the boho farmhouse look.

And finally, I’m drooling over these overnight oats recipes. We all know oats are good for us, so here’s your chance to add the benefits of oats to your diet. You’ll find recipes for breakfasts to desserts and everything in between. Can’t wait to try several of these!

Enjoy your weekend, friends! Get outside, start a new hobby, go for a walk, thumb through your favorite magazine – anything that allows you to enjoy a little “me time”!

I loved the cottage bedroom. The muted green island were my favorite. The collection of repurposed old finds were fun too. Of course I loved it all, so much fun to have these Friday Finds, thanks Jennifer.
