The Beauty and Intimacy of a Dark Green Wall

A sure-fire way to cozy up interior spaces is to change wall color to a darker hue. Today’s post features the beauty and intimacy of a dark green wall, which can be applied in any room of the house.

If painting an entire room in dark green feels too foreboding to you, consider an accent wall like this living room with its white brick fireplace. The look is light and airy while the dark wall adds dimension and a bit of drama.
A wall of dark green cabinets cozies up an English style kitchen. Glass front doors keep the room from becoming too dark. Plus it’s a great way to show off white dishes and pottery. Copper cookware lends a nice element of warmth to the space.

I never met a Green, I didn’t like, but I LOVE each and everyone of these rooms!
I love these gorgeous rooms. Ironically, I just did this exact thing in my bedroom and am so happy with the results. Thanks for the inspiration, and in my case, validation!
Love that green kitchen! When we bought our home 30 years ago I painted the master bedroom deep green and used Laura Ashely bed lines and drapes. So pretty. Loving all the deep colors coming back in style.
One of my favorite colors. In the first townhouse I owned I painted the guest bedroom walls dark forest green, kept the trim white and purchased white comforters with splashy red and green flowers. I think it is still one of the favorite rooms I’ve ever decorated.
