Who loves mushrooms? Whether you enjoy eating them or using replicas as knickknacks, decorating with mushrooms creates an earthy, organic vibe in your home. Just this morning I saw little groupings of mushrooms in the yard and got excited. They always make me think of fairy tales with little gnomes living under them. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite decorating ideas with this fun little fungi.
You might remember my wooden mushrooms that I paired with ceramic owls on my vintage mantel a couple years ago. I use them as décor in any season.
Below is one of my earthy tablescapes that I created with mushrooms as the centerpiece.
I like this chunky example that has a smooth finish to it. You can pair ‘shrooms with a variety of other objects. Flowers for spring and summer, pumpkins for fall, and pinecones for the winter holidays.
Here’s another one of my stockier fungal pieces that I used in a neutral decorating palette.

Or simply print off one my free mushroom printables to frame and hang on the wall.
This tapestry by Urban Outfitters looks beautiful hanging on a wall.
I love these fungus greeting cards, too.
