Dry Sink Full O’ Fall
When I bought the new buffet, it replaced the dry sink which meant the dry sink needed to move. The dry sink took up residence where the bookshelf used to be. The bookshelf didn’t belong in the dining room anyway.

We’ve been having some fabulous weather here in the Midwest … enough rain for the garden and plenty of sunshine to enjoy. Of course, this means the weeds are growing like gangbusters and in order for me to get out in the garden as much as possible, I need to simplify things indoors. As part of…
Taking indoor photos continues to prove challenging, to say the least! Pulling my hair out a little while getting acquainted with my Nikon D3000 and figuring out what aperture to use and blah, blah, bah humbug! Tis not the season to be wrestling with a new camera. While thinking my china cabinet needed some lace in the glass doors, I remembered Heather’s project. This is Heather’s front door,…
Today is the day that I finally reveal what I’m calling my cottage country dining room. It took a while to give this room its makeover, but that’s in large part because I took my time making decisions. I need to apply this newfound philosophy of “slow decorating” to the rest of my house. I…
Ever since our world was turned topsy-turvy from the virus, I’ve been working from home. Since I don’t have my normal 25-minute commute, I can linger a little longer over my morning coffee. Here’s a few dining nook ideas that I find to be worthy of your morning coffee. Photo by Carpenter & MacNeille …
Normally when I share my Christmas dining room here on the blog, the table is festively set as though guests are expected to walk in the door at any minute. Today, I’m showing what it looks like now when it’s just hubby and me at home. A little bit of green and sparkles, but nothing…
