Dry Sink Full O’ Fall
When I bought the new buffet, it replaced the dry sink which meant the dry sink needed to move. The dry sink took up residence where the bookshelf used to be. The bookshelf didn’t belong in the dining room anyway.

Do you decorate for all the seasons? I usually do mostly because I get bored looking at the same things around the house. Today I’ve got some fall decorating ideas for the entryway. I didn’t do a lot for this area of the house other than change up the vignettes. I’ve got a huge window…
One of my 2012 goals is to finish making over the dining room. It’s a small cozy room whose walls used to be sage, which I loved, but after ogling over many a Swedish dining room, I decided to lighten it up with a coat of Steamed White from Lowe’s. The Windsor chairs were re-painted…
Large family meals can get a little chaotic so I enjoy cozier meals with less people. Sure it’s nice to have all your family over at once, but conversation tends to be more intimate with less. I found several cozy breakfast nooks that feature a round dining table – perfect for conversation and dining! Photo…
Sometimes you get lucky and things just come together. But first, the bad news. A Geneva, Illinois store icon recently closed its doors after 82 years of business. The Merra-Lee shops were a series of 7 women’s specialty clothing stores (all owned by the same family) that occupied a prime piece of real estate in town. Before closing, they…

Complementary to the kitchen is a dine-in space which often takes on the same décor and color scheme. So today, enjoy this collection of classic blue breakfast nook ideas! Photo by Covenant LLC…
When you’re in the process of re-doing or redecorating a room, it can be a challenge to pull an entire look together. I recently moved my dining furniture to the living room and converted the dining space to a sitting room. I haven’t done a whole lot in the “new” dining room as I’m still…
