Eclectic Farmhouse: Charming Home Tour
Happy October, Friends! I hope you’re enjoying the fall season so far. I know many of you are sprucing up your homes and getting them ready for cooler weather. And others of you are suffering from storms or fires that are plaguing our country. I hope that today’s eclectic farmhouse tour will give you some cheer and lighten your spirits.
Today we’re touring an east coast home decorated by Jamie Keskin Design. Even though she’s located in Massachusetts, she offers e-design services for those who live far away. Let’s step inside this clean and uncluttered charming home!
You’ll find pretty, architectural elements in today’s home. Board and batten, along with crown molding, greet you in the entryway. The decor is kept simple, light, and bright.
In the living room, a mid-century modern chair creates a cozy corner near a window seat.
A navy blue back splash in the kitchen creates a cozy vibe amidst the white cabinets. A globe light fixture adds a touch of whimsy overhead.
You’ll find more mid-century modern furniture in the way of a breakfast table and pale blue chairs. I love the mix of vintage-style furnishings with the traditional architectural elements.
A built-in office area creates a work space for paying bills or doing homework. Neither of those tasks sound very fun, but at least there’s a pretty spot in this eclectic farmhouse to make the chores more enjoyable!
A handy mudroom is something I long for in my own home. Although we’ve talked of moving, I’m going to explore options for adding onto our house instead. I think overall, it will be less expensive. Time will tell. But I could really use a mudroom – even if it’s small.
You’ll notice a lack of clutter in the bedroom. This is something I’m currently working on – getting rid of some stuff so that when I open my eyes in the morning, I’ll be smiling at a pretty room instead of being reminded that I have some work to do (ie cleaning and de-cluttering).
I love the simple lines of the bathroom vanity. Note the globe light fixture which mimics the one seen in the kitchen. I like when spaces tie in together.
A cute cottage-cozy bedroom wears soft colors on the Jenny Lind bed.
Another bathroom sports a double farmhouse sink with little stools for the kiddos.
A child’s bedroom is also minimally decorated but has plenty of style. Curious George makes himself comfy on the bed. Did you read that book as a child? It was always a favorite of mine.

I love the lack of clutter but seriously, in the kids bathroom where do you put their stuff? “OK, kids, get your toothbrushes and toothpaste out of the closet and brush your teeth.” ??? Just saying. 😜
I love the simplicity of this home with its touches of mid-century. I agree with another person who commented though – it really doesn’t look lived in – but I would love to give it a try. 🙂
I love the floors! what is the brand/name?
What’s the color of your front door? Love it!
I would love to know the brand and color for the
Front door paint as well!

I would love to know the exterior white color and front door color too! Thank you
