Fall Decorating Details in the Entryway

Here in Illinois, the leaves are still turning from green to gold and the landscape is glowing. I love this time of year but was dealt a rude awakening earlier this week. It snowed!! Can you believe it? The nerve of Mother Nature messin’ with my favorite season! Fortunately it was a light snow and it didn’t stick. Rumor has it the temps are rising back into the 60’s before week’s end. I sure hope so. I’m not nearly ready for Old Man Winter to come skulking around. So anywho, I’ve been busy primping the entryway with Fall decorating details.

Fall Decorating Details in the Entry Way via Town and Country LivingWhen you walk in the front door, you’ll be greeted with loads of glorious sunshine and a smattering of pumpkins, gourds, and vintage items.

Vintage Bottles via Town and Country LivingFavorite vintage bottles grace the desktop. It’s amazing to me that the kitties haven’t knocked these over! The bottle on the right was found at a local boutique and is hands down my favorite bottle.

Such simple creativity went into this piece of art.

I found them at the flea market and read each one.

I kind of went a little overboard with the Baby Boos this year, to be quite honest.

It’s these little Fall decorating details that create visual impact in the home.

And now, just a reminder that a few blogging friends and I are offering Tastes of the Season all week.

Tastes of the Season via Town and Country LivingWe’re each showcasing a Fall recipe this week.

Yesterday I shared a recipe for Sweet Potato Spoon Bread with Caramel Pecan Sauce.  Mmmmm! Hubby said it was the best dessert he’s ever eaten. Ever!  Wow!

  1. I love your simple Fall décor, Jennifer! This is perfect to me. I love the branches in the pitcher. I think I love a simple look to my Fall decorating because I know there is 3x as much to put out at Christmas {and many more trips to the attic and bins to bring down}!

  2. Your front entry is so bright and welcoming Jennifer. I like the sweet touches of fall colour you’ve brought in. I’m already planning my Christmas decor. Can you believe Christmas Eve is just 2 months away?? Have a beautiful day!

  3. I too have gone a little overboard with the Baby Boo pumpkins this year, but they bring me a smile each time I see them. So if it brings us pleasure it can’t really be overboard, can it?
I also have been having fun with some photography with them. I think I may try to grow some next summer, for the fun of it.

  4. Hi Jennifer! I have enjoyed all your beautiful Fall decorating this year. SO LOVELY! Every time I come here I feel so welcome and like I could walk right into your beautiful home and settle down in any chair or sofa.
