Do you ever have trouble determining what your decorating style truly is? I love both farmhouse and cottage style equally and keep going back and forth between the two. Sigh. I think my indecisiveness is based on the fact that there are many similar elements with both styles … like bead board, the color white,…
In our busy world, it’s easy to grab your dinner and have a seat on the couch to dine while watching the evening news (or in my case, taped episodes of Judge Judy). But maybe the world would be a better place if we consistently enjoyed a small space dining area where meals are intimate…
Days are getting longer, birds are singing in the trees, and I feel a little pep in my step! Spring is officially just days away and I can’t help but infuse my home with spring vignettes. And I finally have the Easter egg wreath I’ve wanted for years! I love this particular Easter Egg…
Maybe it started with children’s fairytales. Or maybe it’s a result of my love of Beatrix Potter books. But as far as I can remember, I’ve always had a thing for quaint cottages. The small houses with all their charm seem like such a happy place to live. How could anyone not want to live…

Do you have any items in your home that are beyond their usefulness yet you still keep them around? That’s how it’s been with my wooden knife holder. I’ve owned it for at least 15 years and it’s seen better days. When I saw a creative DIY knife holder in a recent issue of Flea…

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
Blessings,
Linda
