Normally I would wait until closer to Christmas to reveal all of the house decked out for the holidays, but I wanted to get everything ready for Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Home tour party on Monday, December 10th. This post is an overview of my holiday decor, with more detailed photos coming soon. Needless to say,…
Back in my early twenties I was a huge fan of Asian-influenced decorating. My first rental home was decorated in traditional style with heavy influences of the Orient. Then my older sister showed me an issue of Country Living magazine and everything changed. I fell in love with casual country style and never looked back….
Summer is flea market season and it extends well into fall. See how to turn your flea market finds into beautiful home decor that makes a visual impact! Photo by Adrienne DeRosa Flea markets always have an ample supply of vintage dishes like colorful Fiesta ware, vintage China, or classic white ironstone (my personal favorite)….
Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour … coordinated by the “All Things Home” group! Â I’m so excited and honored to have you visiting my humble abode during the holiday season. This past week I’ve felt like one of Santa’s Elves scurrying about in a flurry preparing for Christmas! I hope you’ll take time this week…
Do you remember back in the 80s when country blue was a wildly popular color? That was about the time I switched my decorating style from a cool Zen Asian style to comfortable country. Today we’re touring a pretty country blue farmhouse kitchen by Hill Farm Furniture with classic features that will warm your heart….
Are you searching for a memorable Christmas dessert to serve this holiday season? I love making an impressive chocolate souffle that people think you slaved over – but in reality is pretty easy to bake. I’m sharing this delightful recipe as part of a Christmas dessert blog hop organized by Kristen at Ella Claire. You’ll…

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
