A little green and white pair together this year to set the scene for a farmhouse holiday dinner.
Last night it snowed here in Illinois and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Just two more weeks until the big day and I have a confession to make. I’m not a fan of wrapping presents. My hunch says many of you feel the same way so I’m here with the cheater’s guide…
So happy to announce that we’ve got a special edition of Farmhouse Friday for you today!  We’re featuring our spring home tours and we all have a little something special to share. For me, that something special is the color coral. It’s not a color I normally choose, but I’ll explain how pops of coral came…
When I think of Christmas, I think of glitter and sparkle … the way pure white snow sparkles in the sun. I love color at Christmas, including silver and gold. I found some beautiful, blingy holiday pieces to create a vintage Christmas mantel. I’m sharing my holiday mantel today along with some of my blogging friends….
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so what better time is there to share how to create a cozy dining room that transforms a meal into a memorable experience? For me, part of the joy of hosting a meal includes creating ambiance through a pretty tablescape and dining area. It’s something my mother always did…
Welcome to a neighborhood “Spirit of Christmas” tour with a small group of bloggers. We’re sharing neighborhood events or decorations where we live – you’ll find the links below. I’m featuring the first-ever Christmas Lightscape show at the Chicago Botanic Garden. It’s the first time the event has taken place and I didn’t want to…
Nostalgia. That’s why vintage Christmas decor is so appealing. They invoke the awe and excitement we experienced as children, waiting for the celebration of baby Jesus or the arrival of Santa with presents. As a child, everything about Christmas seemed magical. Remember when decorating with teddy bears was the trend – especially at Christmas…
Your table and dining room are stunning! I love the clean, crisp simplicity of it all. Thank you for sharing it!

Luv the vintage ornaments.
Merry Christmas.

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail
It is all so pretty, I just love the vintage ornaments. Vintage ornaments come in the best colors.

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
Blessings,
Linda
