A Few of My Favorite Christmas Trees

Well friends, if you’re not yet ready for Christmas, you’ve only got two more days to get there! I’ll be super busy today as our family is having our big holiday celebration at my house. With everyone married and needing to split their holiday time, I thought it best to host everyone before the big day so we could be leisurely and no one has to rush off to the next family party. While I’m off cooking and prepping, I thought I’d share a roundup of a few of my favorite Christmas trees!

I’ll start with the tree I decorated this year. I used a mixed metallic theme with a vintage Santa ribbon to create a bit of sparkle and shine. You can see more pictures of this tree and my holiday decor at this year’s Christmas tour.

Last year I designed a tree in honor of my mother who loved pink. She passed away almost two years ago and I think of her often during the holidays. My daughter Stephanie also loves pink, so I gave her this pink champagne Christmas tree and its trimmings to use in her home this year.

One of my favorite Christmas trees is this frosted fir that you can see in my 2015 Christmas home tour. It has a pretty paper chain that I just adore.

The year before that, I loaded my tree with my favorite vintage ornaments. You can see more details in my 2014 Christmas home tour.

2013 was the last time I had a real tree in the house. They just get so messy and I simply don’t want to deal with all those needles on the floor (and yes, I do water my trees regularly). Not to mention, I also feel guilty about killing a live tree. On this particular tree, we removed a lot of the branches to make room for the ornaments. You can see how to do that in my trimming the tree (literally) post.

And now, I’d like to share a few of my favorite Christmas trees designed and decorated by blogging friends. I could easily share over 50 trees, but I don’t have time to stay up that late!

I call Courtney of French Country Cottage the “Queen of Christmas” because her home and trees are always amazing. This year, she put two trees up in her living room. An oversized mirror makes it look like she has three trees! Gorgeous.

I love the simplicity of Lauren’s real tree nestled in a basket. It looks so pretty in her dining room. She shares her tree trimming tips on her blog at Bless’er House.

Michael’s gradient rainbow Christmas tree at Inspired by Charm captured my heart the first time I saw it. Take time to browse through his blog. Every Christmas tree he touches is amazing – I guess we can call him the “King of Christmas.”

Any fan of red and white at Christmas will fall in love with Jen’s tree at The House of Wood. Love those big poinsettias she tucked into the frosted branches!

Kelly Elko is a girl after my own heart with her vintage-style Christmas tree. Visit her Christmas home tour and double your pleasure when you see she has two of these trees in her dining room!

Do you love blue at Christmas? I do! And Kelly at The Lilypad Cottage does it so well with her festive tree and holiday home tour.

Kelly at Live Laugh Rowe opted for a rustic-style Christmas tree set in a willow basket tree skirt. That was three Kellys in a row!

Another Christmas Queen is Janet at Shabbyfufu. If you love white and pastels with a bit of French Country, be prepared to fall in love when you visit her Christmas tour and see more of her gorgeous tree.

Cami at Tidbits has also mastered tree decorating! I love the pastels she weaves into her all-white tree. Stunning!

From Wife in Progress, Jenna’s Christmas tree is magazine worthy. I love how it’s loaded with ornaments and a bit of fluffiness.

And finally, my friend Laurie from VinYet Etc. knocks it out of the park with her breathtaking and cozy Christmas tree that she placed at the door of her barn. This is so dreamy and makes me wish I had a barn!

I hope you enjoyed this collection of a few of my favorite Christmas trees. Like I said … I could keep going but there’s still much to do! Wish me luck today – I’m making prime rib for dinner and don’t want to make any mistakes! Then on Christmas Day we head to my daughter’s house for a smaller gathering.

Hope your holidays are memorable and happy!

  1. Seriously I love all the trees for different reasons. Courtney’s tree are always magical, but the pastel tree spoke to me. Cami made it sound and look fabulous. I may be dreaming of a pastel Christmas.
