Friday Finds #4: Summer Love

Does anyone else step outside into the warmth of the day and immediately smile and feel inspired? That’s what season does to me. The abundance of flowers, greenery, and nature in general fills my soul to overflowing! It’s summer love.

This week I managed to get a bit more planting done around the pond. I added a late summer-blooming clematis with Magellan Zinnias at the bottom of the vine to add some color in that spot until the clematis flowers start to open. I’ll share photos soon.

Our vegetable garden is looking great so far. In fact, I think this is the best it’s ever looked but we’ll see how the tomatoes do. Last year we had a lot of fruit with end rot. This year I switched from roma tomatoes to an Amish Paste variety. If you’ve grown those, let me know what you think of them.

I did manage to find some time for online reading and discovering and found a few treasures I think you might enjoy!

Are there any quilters out there? Whether they’re in style or out of style, I will always love a handmade quilt. Here’s a fun patriotic style quilt you might want to try!

One of the best parts of gardening is bringing a bit of your garden indoors. My flower cutting garden is coming in nicely and soon I’ll be making some of these favorite flower arrangements.

I stumbled across this country estate on Becki Owen’s blog that has the most amazing hallway!
