Friday Finds #51: Celebrating June

June is here and that’s a good thing. It means morning coffee by the pond and dinner outside as often as possible. Going for walks and enjoying nature are the icing on the cake during this beautiful time of year. I wish I could freeze time during the month of June.

Beautiful bouquet of pink peonies

June is also a time to celebrate peonies and roses. We have yellow peonies in the front yard that are finally starting to bloom. It can take a couple of years to get blooms after planting the bushes. And I’ve got an errant rose that I tried to get rid of several years ago due to black spot disease. It’s actually got buds on it and no evidence of black spot (knock on wood – we’ll see what happens later this summer).

I found some good Friday Finds for you to enjoy this week.

Do you have limited storage space in your kitchen? I just cleared out a bunch of things I didn’t need after reading this post on kitchen organization. It feels good to purge!

Take a tour of Buttercup Cottage in England. With a name like that, you know the house has to be cute, right?

Who’s a fan of raspberries? Midwest Living offers a collection of awesome raspberry desserts. I’ll take one of the dark chocolate raspberry cupcakes! Remind me of my dark chocolate raspberry cake recipe.

Check out these kitchens with cute dining areas. Before and after photos are shown so you can enjoy the full transformation.

Thinking of a getaway this year? I loved our trip to Savannah, Georgia and this article shares all the best places to eat while visiting. I always enjoy scoping out the restaurants while I’m on vacation.

I hope you enjoy the beginning of June! Stop back tomorrow for our Cozy Living series that’s held the first Saturday of every month!

  1. Loved that little cottage and it’s name, raspberries and chocolate is a yummy combination. Thanks and have a great day.

  2. Buttercup Cottage…so cute. Enjoyed the post on small kitchen organization and it made me realize that I have really missed, since moving into my current apartment, that lovely “dust catcher” area above the kitchen cabinets for storage and display!
