Friday Finds #3: Summer Goodness

June is more than halfway over and I find myself wishing summer would slow down just a bit. Enjoy the season and all it has to offer with these inspirational finds of summer goodness – from a starfish wreath tutorial to gorgeously decorated homes!

A kind of amazing thing happened this week. A blog reader contacted me to tell me her grandmother lived in the yellow house shown in this historic home tour of Riverside, Illinois (third house in the post).

After several emails back and forth, I find out that her friend lives in my grandmother’s old house about an hour from where I live. Long story short, her friend is going to let me see inside the house and I can’t wait to share stories with her! This is definitely one of the perks of blogging. You connect with people you otherwise would have never met!

And now on to some of the treasures I found this week …

A blogging friend of mine shared her gorgeous summer home tour over at Seeking Lavender Lane. Deb’s style has evolved over the last couple of years into something truly fantastic. Subscribe to her blog if you want to see more of her creativity.

Another blogging friend, Danielle at Finding Silver Pennies, shared the perfect starfish wreath tutorial for summer. I love Danielle’s easy coastal style.

Speaking of summer, who doesn’t love a serving of good old fashioned potato salad?

Have you heard of Jacklyn Peters? She’s a designer I recently stumbled across and I think you’ll love this tudor home she worked on.

Hope you enjoy your weekend – stay safe out there!

  1. Your blog is a breath of sunshine. The turbulence in our country, our state, our city is so awful and so stressful. Thank you…
