Green and White Kitchen: Small But Functional

I realize I’m probably in the minority, but I actually prefer a small kitchen over a really big one. Yes, you can usually enjoy more storage space in a big kitchen, but if planned properly, a small kitchen can be highly functional, like today’s green and white kitchen by Copper Sky Design + Remodel.

Since the kitchen doesn’t have a lot of horizontal space, the most is made of vertical space with high cabinets. A sliding library ladder makes it easier to get what you want in the top cabinets.  The floor provides plenty of interest with a patterned tile in the same green and white color.

Brushed gold lends an air of elegance via the doorknobs and light fixture. A few minor wood accents help warm the space.

A white farmhouse sink provides a down-home look in the cottage-style kitchen.

A pair of windows above the sink let in plenty of natural light, along with the French door at the opposite end of the galley-type kitchen.

I really find the green and white color palette, with wood and gold accents, quite refreshing. How about you?

    1. Pretty kitchen but the ladder, although useful, is taking up a lot of space. It seems very cumbersome.

    2. I wouldn’t think of a green kitchen but this one is very pretty. Personally I like a small kitchen though it can be a challenge.

  1. So cute, but I’ve always wondered if you wouldn’t get very tired, very quickly of moving such a ladder.

  2. I love the shade of green used in this kitchen . Do you know the brand & color name/number of the paint?

  3. I LOVE this green kitchen. I had my kitchen done a few years ago and I went with green, my favorite color. The one thing that I feel is awkward is the library ladder. Don’t think I would like that in my kitchen, I would be bumping into it all the time. I really like the brass with the green and the light over head. The floor is very nostalgic for an older home. All in all a very timeless and calming place to prepare meals.
