Home Decor Cheat Sheets and Giveaway

Today I have a fun surprise for you! I was recently introduced to a super handy decorating book that anyone can understand and use. The book is called Home Decor Cheat Sheets and it’s filled with easy-to-understand diagrams and information. I really love this book and I was thinking you’d love it too, so I’m giving away a free copy to one lucky winner!

Home Decor Cheat Sheets. Your Handy Decorating Guide.

If you’re like me, you’d rather look at drawings that explain things as opposed to having to read and decipher complicated instructions. This book makes it easy to understand how to place furniture in a room, how to arrange pictures on a wall, and so much more.

How to Arrange a Gallery Wall

This illustration shows how to arrange a gallery wall within a confined space (the dots are an imaginary line).

And this one shows a different approach, using a midline as a way to arrange pictures or mirrors.

Here’s yet another diagram for arranging pictures on the wall. This one is a bit more symmetrical. You’ll find several more examples in the book, making it easy to match up the number and size of pictures you have with one of the illustrations. How easy is that?

Types of Sofas. Learn the names of the more popular design styles.

Have you ever wondered what different styles of furniture are called?  Home Decor Cheat Sheets will help to educate you, so you can walk in a store and accurately describe the style of sofa or furniture you prefer.

Examples of Tile Patterns - a handy cheat sheet to use

Or maybe you need to know the name of a specific tile pattern to share with your kitchen designer. Other cheat sheets in the book include pairing side tables with chairs, choosing the right size rug, kinds of lampshades, paint finishes, and so on. All the decorating principles and explanations come with these easy illustrations.

Home Decor Cheat Sheets. Your Must-Have Decorating Guide

I love this book and plan to use it often. I like simple things (why should life be complicated?) and this book makes decorating much easier and faster. If you’d like a chance to win your own copy of the book, just leave a comment below. I’ll choose and announce the winner next Friday.

If you can’t wait until then, you can purchase Home Decor Cheat Sheets online.

  13. Funny – as I looked at the pages you showed, it seemed too basic and obvious to be made into a book. Then, when I thought about it longer, I realized it’s only easy when it’s spelled out right in front of you!. So very hard when you’re actually trying to create your look from scratch. Love to have this book!!
