Island Beach Cottage in South Carolina

Today’s island beach cottage reminds me of our trips to Hilton Head Island when the kids were younger. There’s something about low country that captures my heart every time I visit. And this beautiful cottage has done the same.

The house was designed to take advantage of water views wherever possible.

A mix of natural wood and painted room creates a bright and interesting interior in the island beach cottage. Wood bead chandeliers lend a touch of whimsy.

The kitchen continues the wood and white theme. Large windows let in natural light and take advantage of low country waterfront views.

Worn shiplap walls hug one of the island beach cottage bedrooms. I love how a bit of the green, chipping paint was left on the walls.

An all-white bedroom creates cool comfort for napping and nighttime sleeping. The ceiling fan is cute and unique.

  1. I so love the simplicity and the natural whites with wood color theme. I think I’m tired of my own home with its long-held sentimental and too colorful decor. Maybe time to KonMari some of my “stuff?” Or maybe time for Spring to improve my disposition – as I look outside my window to accumulating snow once again. Sigh …
