A couple weekends ago hubby and I attended the Main Street Market event in Rockford, Illinois. I knew some of the vendors that were going to be there so figured it’d be a fun outing. The weather was perfect and hubby was a good sport … especially since it was also his birthday! He’s a keeper, don’t you think?
Main Street Market was held at the Midway Village in Rockford. I’d never been there and loved the grounds.
I think you’ll see why …
I’m guessing this served as a boarding house back in the day.
This is the historic Rockford Hospital. As you can see, the vendors’ tents were situated all throughout the village. It was truly the perfect setting for the Main Street Market. Lots of goodies were on hand.
I want a fence just like this one around the front of my house. I think it’d be perfect!
I did manage to take time to look at the vendor booths at the Main Street Market. I fell in love with this pretty desk, which reminds me of my own decoupaged desk.
Too bad this vintage truck wasn’t for sale! I didn’t buy much at the Main Street Market because I was too busy oohing and aaahing over the historic buildings. I did manage to walk away with a few vintage bottles and a can of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, though.
And hubby? I took him out for dinner later that night at his favorite restaurant and gave him a Pittsburgh Steelers golf bag for his birthday … I had to make it up to him for tagging along with me at the Main Street Market event!
