Mid-Size Transitional Kitchen with a Touch of Farmhouse

Take a trip with me to Indianapolis to see this gorgeous, mid-size transitional kitchen by aaNovo! What I find so endearing about this kitchen is its clean lines with subtle farmhouse touches. You won’t find a lot of clutter, which allows you to appreciate all the design details.

Indianapolis is home to a few good things, including the Good Bones home renovation show on HGTV. Have you seen it? It’s a mother-daughter duo. It’s been airing for several seasons now.

But let’s get back to today’s kitchen with Shaker cabinets and marble countertops, not to mention a pair of adorable pendant lights above the ample island.

State-of-the-art, stainless steel appliances make cooking a joy. A marble backsplash above the stove blends nicely with the countertops and the white shiplap walls. Dark lower cabinets add warmth and depth to the transitional kitchen.

Warm wood floors run from the kitchen into the adjoining family room. Shiplap is used on the kitchen island as well as the walls.

Through the kitchen is a handy butler’s pantry and entryway. I love the creamy shade of upper cabinets and the darker lower cabinets with brushed gold hardware.

What a dream it would be to have a separate entry with butler’s pantry. Especially one as beautifully classic as this one!

A panoramic view shows a few upper cabinets to the right of the stove and open shelving. The kitchen has a good flow as well as spectacular design with careful thought to finishes. Lucky is the family who gets to call this kitchen their own.
