This view is looking outside through that same arched doorway. Rather than being greeted by a staircase that leads up to a second floor, the stairway heads down to the lower level. Shiplap walls encase the foyer with farmhouse charm.

  1. I’ve never seen white subway tiles on the stairs like that. It’s a good idea because white painted risers always get scuffed.

  2. Love the white subway tiles on the stair risers. What a great idea.
Don’t love the foyer with the stairs in the middle of the room. Off to the side would have made this space much more usable and attractive.
I’m not a fan of yellow, but love the blue touches in the kitchen and dining space.
All in all, a tour with a different look. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Isn’t it just the loveliest house and location. I had an aunt i use to go see as a little girl, their house backed up to a hill and i loved it and dreamed of having one some day. On one side was a hill and the front had a creek,it burnt down and they moved closer to town.Thank you.

  4. Wow! This home is amazing. It doesn’t make me want to move, but it sure makes me want to paint and decorate 🙂
