The home is “modern” because it features an open concept floor plan. From this side of the dining room, you get a glimpse of the living room and stairway.

  1. I really do like this home. It’s very much my style – except for the wall with the wood slices. While it’s attractive and unique, in my own home I would have to imagine it with cat and dog hair sticking like a magnet to each and every wood slice. LOL
It’s lovely and baby Hazel’s nursery is amazing. Thank you for the tour.

  2. I love a home with character and this has got that personal touch. I love that beautiful stone fireplace. Thanks, have a good time with your family, Merry Christmas.

  3. Happy Holidays! Your blog always brightens my day since you & I love similar things. I love the way you explore design and it hones my taste even more. Which I enjoy! Thanks so much.

  4. Love this house and all of its clever nooks! Is Perch Lake near Telemark, Cable, WI? That ski area was one of my p.r. clients years ago. There are so many clever things about this house, as you point out. The fireplace looks so much like one my father built in our Missouri farmhouse and I love that concrete wall with the inset wood pieces. It looks as if their t.v. is also housed in some custom cabinetry. Yes, I could settle right in here.
